About the Role

LCS Defense is seeking a System Integration Engineer to provide guidance and support for the integration of large-scale systems and interfacing components within a complex, geographically distributed network environment. The ideal candidate will operate in an Agile setting, collaborating with program managers, software and system integration engineers, test and information assurance engineers, and other key project members. This role involves supporting Linux and Windows-based components in a high-performance computing system, performing diagnostics and troubleshooting system behavior errors—both hardware and software-related—through analysis of packet captures and audit logs to identify issues and determine root causes. The selected candidate will support both development and production systems by applying software builds, updating application versions, deploying security patches, modifying configuration settings, and participating in deployment activities including COTS software evaluation, installation, and external site support. Additionally, the engineer will coordinate with internal team leads and external partners to determine outage windows that minimize operational disruption. The role also includes developing and updating data flow diagrams and system documentation, along with supporting the creation of detailed configuration documentation, risk assessments, and alternative solutions for various system-related challenges.
