About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Hardware Developer to architect and design PCBAs for next-generation network security appliances utilizing high-performance FPGAs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with high-speed digital design, signal integrity analysis, and complex FPGA integration in multi-layer boards.
Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance
8+ years of hands-on hardware development experience including schematic capture, PCB layout review, and hardware validation.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs
- Drive system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers
- Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits
- Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements
- Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements
- Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams
- Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in hardware development
- Experience with PCB design and high-speed digital circuits
- Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging
- Experience with manufacturing processes and DFM principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AMD/Intel FPGA SoC platform
- Expertise in signal integrity and power integrity analysis and PCB design tools (Allegro, Altium, or similar)
